E911 DISPATCHER / CORRECTIONS OFFICER

The Allamakee County Sheriff's Office is accepting applications for the postion of E911/Dispatcher / Corrections Officer. This postition will involve cross training in 911 dispatching and corrections. Duties will include dispatching Sheriff/Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Services to emergency and non-emergency service calls. Other duties include providing for the care, safety and security of inmates in the county jail.

Benefits: Paid health insurance, cafeteria plan, paid vacation, Iowa Public Employees Retirement System (IPERS), shift differential pay.

Victim-Witness Coordinator

 

Allamakee County is seeking qualified applications for a full-time Victim-Witness Coordinator position at the Allamakee County Attorney’s Office. 

Under the direction and supervision of the Allamakee County Attorney, the Victim-Witness Coordinator will provide assistance to crime victims and witnesses to crimes.

The position will include providing victims with basic information regarding the status of their case, registering victims for notification purposes, assisting victims with the completion of victim impact statements and restitution forms, and making referrals to community services. 

A bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, psychology, criminal justice or a related field and previous experience in victim’s services, social work, law enforcement or case management is preferred but not required.
