Dave Mooney, Solid Waste, gave a history of his efforts on establishing an agreement with Winneshiek County landfill and reported on a recent meeting with the Winneshiek County Landfill Board. Due to one contingency that if Allamakee Solid Waste goes there then they want all entities in Allamakee County to commit to using Winneshiek Landfill, and Mooney has no control over all the cities, progress on an agreement is at a standstill. Mooney feels it would be beneficial to Allamakee Solid Waste and to all the other haulers of junk/debris and it would open up more competition. Mooney currently has to send haulers to LaCrosse or Prairie du Chien.

Brian Ridenour presented quotes for a new compact track loader with a trade-in:

Bodensteiner Implement – $63,000

Reiser Implement $73,835

Ziegler – $80,400

Ridenour recommends the low quote of $63,000 for a John Deere from Bodensteiner Implement.
