MINUTES OF THE ALLAMAKEE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
MONDAY, APRIL 21, 2025
Meeting held at Veterans Museum.
Board members present: Byrnes, Keatley and Clark. All members voting “AYE” unless noted.
Meeting called to order by Byrnes, followed by Pledge of Allegiance.
25.149-Motion Keatley/Second Clark to approve today’s agenda with 9:10 am item tabled until next week and minutes from April 14, 2025 meeting. Motion carried.
The following people were present at various times throughout the meeting in person or via Zoom: Joseph Moses – Standard newspaper, Janel Eglseder – 1st Deputy Auditor, Roger Bublitz, Judge Bauercamper, George Beardmore, Stephanie Runkle, Lisa Hermeier, Ray Mullarkey and Brian Ridenour.
Public Comment: Lisa Hermeier had questions about a culvert concern; Supervisors advised she wait until Brian Ridenour is here to answer her questions. John Bauercamper and George Beardmore gave updates of the museum and talked about upcoming programs.
25.150 Motion Keatley/Second Clark to approve resolution of subdivision plat for Gesing, Joseph H Trust & Leona. Roll call: Clark-aye; Byrnes-aye; Keatley-aye. Motion carried.

RESOLUTION OF ACCEPTANCE OF FINAL SUBDIVISION PLAT of
Gesing, Joseph H Trust & Leona
WHEREAS, Gesing, Joseph H Trust & Leona, owner(s) as of the April 21, 2025 has submitted the attached Final Plat and supporting documents representing:
LOT 2 IN THE NORTHWEST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 17, TOWNSHIP 97 NORTH, RANGE 5 WEST OF THE 5TH P.M. IN ALLAMAKEE COUNTY, IOWA.; and
WHEREAS, the Subdivision to be created is located within Allamakee County, Iowa; and
WHEREAS, the owners have now requested that Allamakee County certify its approval of the final Plat of the Subdivision pursuant to Chapter 354 of the Code of Iowa and pursuant to the County’s subdivision requirements found in Chapter 7 of its Ordinances.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Allamakee County Board of Supervisors at a regular meeting assembled on April 21, 2025:
That the final subdivision plat submitted by Gesing, Joseph H Trust & Leona, Allamakee County, Iowa, and described as: (See above) is found to be in conformity with Allamakee County’s Comprehensive Plan, having given consideration to its possible burden on public improvements and to the balance of interest between the proprietor, future purchasers and the public interest, and is approved and accepted by the Board of Supervisors in and for Allamakee County, Iowa.
The final Subdivision Plat and attachments are in conformance with the subdivision platting requirements, of the Code of Iowa and the Subdivision Ordinances of Allamakee County, Iowa, with the exception of waiving the requirement of a Performance Bond for improvements and installations.
The Chairperson of the Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to endorse the Board’s recommendation of approval by certifying a copy of this Resolution for recording with said Plat and supporting documents in the Offices of the County Recorder and the County Auditor of Allamakee County, Iowa.

Ridenour presented the FY26 Secondary Road Budget and 5-year plan and went through the projects. He is waiting for DOT approval and will return for BOS approval next week.
