01/14/26 BOS Minutes- Budgeting & Hiring

MINUTES OF THE ALLAMAKEE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 14, 2026

Board members present: Byrnes, Keatley, and Clark.

 

Chairperson Clark called the meeting to order.

 

Present: Clark Mellick, Ross Geerdes, Denise Beyer – Auditor/Clerk to Supervisors.

 

Sheriff Mellick requested approval of new hire.

26.032-Motion Byrnes/Second Keatley to approve hiring Paine Mason DeLarm as dispatcher/corrections officer starting January 20, 2026 at wage per union contract. Motion carried.

 

Board and Auditor Beyer moved into a budget work session from approximately 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (Noon) with various department heads to discuss their budget proposals for FY27. Byrnes left at 9am for another meeting and returned around 10:30 am. No action taken.

 

26.033-Motion Keatley/Second Byrnes to adjourn. Motion carried.
