NOVEMBER 3, 2020 GENERAL ELECTION INFORMATION
SAMPLE BALLOT **NOTE that candidates on all ballots are the same EXCEPT Township Trustees. Depending on your township, the trustee candidates on your ballot will vary. If you live within city limits, you will not have any trustees on your ballot. See the CANDIDATE INFORMATION link above to see who should be on your ballot for Township Trustees.
Public Measure information - On the back side of the ballot, you will see there is a Public Measure. Here is some information regarding that question that we have learned from the Secretary of State's office:
This comes up every 10 years on the ballot – this is an alternate way for a proposed amendment(s) to be placed before the public for possible passage. This is in the Iowa Constitution, Article 10, Section 3. Click here for Section 3 language.
*In-Person Absentee voting for the November 3, 2020 General Election begins on Monday, October 5. Hours are 8am-4pm Monday through Friday AND
SATURDAY, October 24, 8am-5pm and SATURDAY, October 31, 8am-5pm.
*In-person Absentee Voters are not allowed to carry a blank "official" ballot out of the Auditor's office. You must vote a ballot in the Auditor's office or have the ballot mailed to you.
