Unaffiliated Volunteers
Are also known as “spontaneous volunteers” and are individuals who offer to help or self-deploy to assist in emergency situations normally relying upon an organization such as Fire, Law Enforcement, or Emergency Management to coordinate their activities and provide any necessary training and equipment. You are considered “unaffiliated” in that you are not part of a disaster relief organization and normally are only available when a need is present following a disaster or emergency. Spontaneous volunteers are an important part of disaster response, and your services are greatly appreciated.

There is no pre-disaster roster to sign up with and when volunteers are needed, specific guidance and details will be provided on this page and through various other resources.
